Install Exora

Exora ships as a signed MSIX package, code-signed by M-Tec Systems, Inc. Once installed it checks for updates on its own — you only do this part once.

  • Windows 10 version 1809 or later, or Windows 11
  • 64-bit (x64) — ARM64 is not published yet
  • Installs per-user; no administrator rights needed
  • Updates itself in the background once installed

Installing

  1. Download the installer

    The .appinstaller file is a small manifest — a few hundred bytes — that tells Windows where to fetch the package and where to look for updates later.

  2. Open it

    Double-click the downloaded file. Windows App Installer opens, shows the publisher, and installs Exora. Browsers no longer allow a website to launch this step directly, which is why it is a download rather than a one-click button.

  3. Add your mailbox

    Exora asks for your address and finds the right server settings for you. For on-premises Exchange it uses Autodiscover, including the domain-joined lookup, and will offer OAuth sign-in if your server supports it.

One command does the whole thing, including registering for updates:

Updates

Exora re-checks the same URL every few hours and installs new versions quietly in the background. There is nothing to subscribe to and no updater running on your machine.

Uninstalling

Right-click Exora in the Start menu and choose Uninstall, or remove it from Settings › Apps. Your locally cached mail goes with it; nothing is left behind on a server.
